Story BEHIND THE GAME

We love going to theme parks. It is a place where we forget ourselves and have fun. The only thing we did not like about theme parks was the long lines. Some rides will take 1 to 3 hours of standing before you can even experience it. Adding to the stress back then, I got two young boys who quickly got bored and became cranky when standing in line for a long time. The kids needed to do something while waiting. In 2013, my eldest son, 11 years old at that time, had a card game that he reinvented to pass the time. The game's mechanic was not new (it is similar to rock, paper, and scissors), but he made some categories to make it a more interesting game. My eldest, his younger brother (7 years old), and two of our kid's friends played the card game while we were in the theme park, waiting in line. The card game kept them preoccupied. It was called "READY DRAL." It was a draw duel game; however, my youngest son was still young and could not pronounce "draw" at that time. Instead, he pronounces it as "dral ."That was how the game was first named " Ready Dral ."My wife also pitched in and suggested that the duel's winner will call the next category and adding spells in the game gave it a twist.
We have no experience or knowledge in producing a game and did not realize how hard and expensive it is. We only have a dream -- a dream to make a card game that is fun for kids and older kids that they can play almost anywhere. It took us several years of trial and error, a lot of frustrations, and other factors like intellectual properties, game design, and manufacturing. We almost gave up the game, but thanks to God and God's sent people, we finally have a card game. We now call it "Draw Duel and Spell, and with collaboration, we also develop an adventure, fantasy, storytelling board game that kids can participate in and play with their families and friends. What did we learn? We learned to believe in your dreams because no matter who you are, we all can dream. Rejection is a part of dreaming, but trust God and yourself because no one will believe in your dream more than you do. Who knows, someday it may come true. We hope you'll like the game and thank you very much for reading our story.
